A miniature drum rendered in 14 karat gold, with both faces cleverly designed in slightly iridescent mother of pearl. The sides of the drum feature scrolling engraved and textured details that catch light differently depending on the angle. A dainty gold thread runs along the side of the drum, mimicking the tensioning cord of a real instrument. The gold carries some patina and a rosy hue — that warm, slightly pink tone particular to older American gold alloys. A charming miniature drum that is ready to wear or collect.

CONDITION
Some patina present consistent with age. Otherwise excellent vintage condition. There is some visible crinkling where the gold thread is "tied off" at its terminus — a sign of this hand assembled wire, this can be seen in the photos. Overall, absolutely charming!
