For our local community, we also provide estate-jewelry services including repair, consignment, and buying — all handled with expertise and care.

Specializing in antique jewelry, we offer exquisite pieces from the Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco, and Art Nouveau eras. We believe antique jewelry is for everyone—certain treasures endure the test of time for a reason: to find you. We love to decode the symbolism, clues and craftsmanship, uncovering the history and whispered legacy behind each jewel. There’s something extraordinary about the hidden stories and cultural nuances woven into jewelry design through the ages. When you collect antique and vintage jewelry, you become a custodian of history.
Vintage
In addition to antique jewelry, we offer timeless pieces from the Retro, Mid-Century, and late 20th-century eras. Vintage jewelry carries the charm of its time—each piece reflecting the trends, artistry, and craftsmanship of its decade. Jewelry needs to be 20+ years old to be considered vintage. These items include whimsical Midcentury pieces, Chunky 80s Gold, and cool Y2K jewels. You will feel fantastic true-vintage jewelry! Not only are these pieces a more sustainable option, but they are also truly unique!

A Note from our founder:
This small business was born out of an obsession with history, collecting, and an addiction to old world sparkle! Opaline Estate Jewelry started with my instagram account "Accidental Antiquarian" - a place I created as an outlet for sharing my love of history, jewelry and art. I’ve always been an antique collector and art history nerd, but something really clicked for me when I started collecting antique jewelry. I became addicted to the research and the HUNT, eventually quitting my job in Art Direction/Fashion to go into jewelry full time. It feels like a whirlwind, but before I knew it, I was sourcing, selling, curating antiques and pursuing a Education in Gemology while designing jewelry and building partnerships with other local jewelers. I decided to follow my daydream: Jewelry with a side of history.
This little obsession, fueled by a passion for learning, has now evolved into a full grown business. I spend my days treasures hunting, helping others find their dream pieces and offering estate jewelry services. I love the idea of saving beautiful old pieces from being melted down for scrap. I love the idea of jewelry beyond the object, jewelry as personal expression and as a way for us connect to the craftsmanship, stories and arts of those who came before us. The essence of Opaline Estate Jewelry lies in the thousands of tiny stories these pieces tell.
Accidental Antiquarian has grown beyond just me, which is why the shop is transitioning to Opaline Estate Jewelry. This will allow us to grow and serve a wider community. Plus, Opaline is a LOT easier to spell.
