The stone displays rich green coloring with natural striations running through it, and the silver mount follows a naturalistic form with inlaid leaves and a curling stem at the top. The silver top sits on a base metal pin shaft. Often paired with the phrase "Cling to me" ivy was a symbol of fidelity in the Victorian era.
