This is a striking oval brooch set with a large faceted paste stone in a rich blue hue. The stone is bold and crisp, with a deeply faceted surface that throws plenty of light. It sits in a sterling silver bezel setting with an open back, allowing light to pass through the stone from behind. The brooch fastens with a C clasp, and despite being over a century old, the design feels remarkably modern and easy to wear.
