Here is a rare and wonderful Circa 1830s-1850s antique locket made from a Rudraksha Prayer Seed, Carnelian, and 15K Gold. This beautiful little piece of antique sentimental jewelry opens to reveal a compartment, likely for a photo or lock of hair. The carnelian back is a smooth, deep red color, and the nut has a lovely organic texture that contrasts with the warm Gold. The gold has hand-chased details and a beautiful vine pattern. This is a rare example of sentimental jewelry. There is a small age-related crack in the side of the walnut measuring approx 4mm. However, the walnut is secure in its setting.
