This Victorian mourning brooch features beautifully woven blonde hair set beneath a glass compartment. The words "In Memory Of" appear in Old English lettering across the top, rendered in gold against a glossy black enamel border. A scalloped edge surrounds the piece, giving the frame a softened, decorative outline. The hairwork itself is tightly woven in a delicate pattern, a form of sentimental keepsake typical of Victorian mourning customs.
