Victorian Hairwork Mourning Ring in 9K Gold

This Victorian hairwork ring dates to circa 1870–1890 and features a buckle design rendered in 9 karat yellow gold. A ribbon of tightly woven brown hair runs along the band, preserved in a fitted area. The buckle motif is hand-etched, and the border of the ring carries a carved decorative pattern. The 9 karat gold has a slightly rosy hue that complements the warm brown tones of the hairwork. At 5mm wide, the ring sits comfortably on the finger with a modest profile.
