This Victorian ring features an Essex crystal at its center — a reverse-carved, hand-painted image of a man on horseback in a rock crystal dome. A thin wafer of abalone sits behind the crystal, creating a luminous backdrop that shifts with movement. The crystal is surrounded by a halo of 24 antique rose cut diamonds, each approximately 1mm, mounted in silver. This piece is likely an older, nicely done conversion from another jewel, giving it a layered history. The silver-topped setting rests on a substantial 14 karat yellow gold band with silver lattice detail visible in the gallery.
