Fabulous and unusual antique ring centered by a show-stopping bottle green synthetic spinel with dramatic scale and rich saturation. The elongated oval stone is set in an ornate crown-style yellow gold mounting with ornate sculpted prongs and decorative beadwork surrounding the gallery. The shoulders feature architectural engraved geometric details characteristic of the Victorian era, while the later custom crown mounting and stone addition create a striking one-of-a-kind silhouette. Bold on the hand and beautifully constructed, this is a substantial statement ring ready to wear or collect. We suspect this unique ring is a nicely executed marriage of midcentury and Victorian elements- a truly one of a kind piece.
