Mid-Century Carved Coral Swan & Diamond Brooch in 14K Gold

This substantial mid-century brooch features a hand-carved coral swan in a soft pastel orangish-pink hue. The coral carving is naturalistic and dimensional, forming the full body and neck of the swan (or perhaps it is a peacock). Single cut and Old European cut diamonds accent the top of the head and along the back feathers, totaling approximately 1/5cttw with H-I color and SI2-I1 clarity. The metalwork has a textured finish throughout, with 14K white gold under a 14K yellow gold layer. The piece has real presence on the lapel, with the carved coral doing the work visually while the diamond accents provide a bit of sparkle. This brooch does have some visible wear and small fractures along the natural separations of the coral particularly on the top of the wing area, this is seen in the photos.

CONDITION
This brooch does have some visible wear and small fractures along the natural separations of the coral particularly on the top of the wing area, this is seen in the photos. There is age-related wear throughout the metal and evidence of previous repairs. The brooch is a gorgeous true-vintage piece but it is not perfect. That said, it presents are wears beautifully.
