Edwardian Guilloche Enamel Compact in Sterling Silver

This Edwardian compact features a white guilloche enamel face encircled by a border of pinkish purple flowers and leaves. The sterling silver case measures approximately 38mm round with a depth of 14.4mm, giving it a satisfying weight in the hand. The compact opens to reveal a small mirror and a worn gilded interior, and it closes securely. It hangs from a 4in chain finished with a finger ring that could also attach to a chatelaine. This little compact was made by the Webster company and is in sterling silver.

CONDITION
Light wear is present throughout. The silver shows heavy patina, which could be polished to a high shine if desired. The enamel is in lovely condition with no chips. The gilded interior shows wear.
