These unique drop earrings feature hand-carved coral set within ornate filigree frames. The coral is hand carved into floral patterns, and the surrounding metalwork is gilded (gold was over silver), giving the silver a warm golden tone. Each earring measures 2.25 inches from top to bottom, creating a dramatic vertical line. The original screw backs have been replaced with 14 karat gold post screw backs, making them secure and comfortable for extended wear. A beautiful pair of art deco Chinese export jewelry.
