Beautiful Antique 800 Silver Engraved Acanthus Leaf Compact Case - AS IS

A finely engraved silver compact crafted in solid 800 silver, featuring ornate acanthus scrollwork across a graceful fan-shaped form. The intricate hand engraving and elegant proportions are characteristic of early 1900s Italian-style silverwork. The compact opens to reveal its original interior - the hinges works beautifully and the it closes securely. The mirror unfortunately has worn with age and the original silver backing is flaking away behind the glass, so this piece is sold as is. Substantial in weight and beautifully made, this compact would have served as a purse or vanity compact and now makes a wonderful collectible or trinket case.

CONDITION
This piece has a visible damage to the mirror as seen in the photos. The original glass is in nice condition however the reflective backing is worn and flaking. Aside from the condition of the mirror, this piece is beautiful and closes securely.
