Antique Mother of Pearl Telescopic Pencil on Chain

A charming Victorian-era telescopic pencil pendant with alternating panels of iridescent mother of pearl. The pencil is set in warm gold-filled metal with decorative caps on each end and hangs from a vintage twisted gold-tone chain. Originally a functional pencil, now a lovely and wearable piece of antique history. The mechanism does have resistance and this is sold as a lovely antique pendant rather than a usable pencil for writing.

CONDITION
This pencil is no longer in condition to be used as a pencil, but is instead sold as an antique novelty chatelain/fob pendant for fashion or collection purposes. The propelling mechanism is worn with age and shows resistance and should be opened slowly and carefully. Aside from the mechanical resistance, the pencil is in Beautiful antique condition with minor surface wear from age. A gorgeous and historical little pendant!
